Senior officers at local councils seem to take instructions from the LGA and others. The officers and staff at councils also seem to be highly politicised so I wonder what challenges that will present to Reform Councillors.
I do hope the Reform teams have access to legal, financial and strategic advice in order to quickly change the direction of their councils. Just as councils finance LGA there is no reason Reform councils should not finance a team to help them. They could cut funding to LGA and other elite supporting quangos.
